Patriot of the Game with University of Oklahoma Athletics

At Bob Moore Ford, we’re proud to honor the local heroes in our community. That’s why we’ve partnered with the University of Oklahoma to sponsor the Bob Moore Ford Patriot of the Game program. Through this program, we get to recognize front-line service workers and service men and women who serve us every day. As we look back on the OU athletics events and patriots we’ve honored, we’re grateful for the opportunity to give back however we can. This year, we’ve honored veterans and active duty military at all OU football home games, with a busy schedule next year to celebrate more local heroes. OU Football Season Award Winners

This football season, we recognized eight service members from across most of our branches, including the Marines, Army, and Navy. We recognized service members like Major Kyle Chapman, whose unit saw extensive combat in Afghanistan, where he earned multiple commendations and medals. We also recognized retired Marine Staff Sergeant Stan Green, who enlisted in the marines at just 17! Staff Sergeant Green was deployed to Afghanistan in 2008, where he was wounded in the left leg, resulting in an amputation. Staff Sergeant Green was awarded the Purple Heart and a long list of other medals for his sacrifice. While these are just a couple of the stories of the heroes who live in our communities, we’re thrilled to recognize their service and sacrifice with every chance we get. Upcoming OU Athletics Events

Looking ahead to 2025, we’re working to finalize our list of Patriots we’ll be honoring! We plan to host a Patriot of the Game award ceremony at home games for all of OU’s home sporting events. We’ll have events planned for OU Softball, OU Baseball, OU Men’s Basketball, and OU Women’s Basketball games. We’re excited to continue highlighting our heroic neighbors of all types, whether active duty, veterans, or local heroes like firefighters, nurses, and police officers.
