2026 Ford Explorer for Sale in OKC | Bob Moore Ford

Looking for your next family SUV? Make it the Ford Explorer! The classic Ford SUV needs no introduction; it’s a staple in driveways across the country and is also in the stable of most law enforcement agencies across the nation. The Explorer is a trusted favorite for a reason. It offers plenty of space, classic styling, generous features, and surprising power. In 2025, we saw the Ford Explorer receive a mid-cycle refresh, with updates to its visual language and features. For 2026, the Explorer doesn’t see as many changes, but it does add a new trim level to the family: the Ford Explorer Tremor. The Tremor is a familiar trim for Ford enthusiasts, offering a range of additional off-road features, including skid plates, off-road tires, and a limited rear-slip differential. We’ll preview everything you need to know about the new Ford SUV, from the Ford Explorer towing capacity rating to the safety suite. If you’d like to learn more about the new Explorer, visit our Ford dealership in OKC.

New Ford Explorer Fuel Efficiency and Powertrains

On most Explorers, you’ll find a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine under the hood, making 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The ST comes standard with a 3.0-liter V-6 instead, producing 400 horses and 415 lb-ft of torque. You can really feel the extra horsepower, though, as it helps the Explorer zoom from 0 to 60 in about 5.1 seconds. Both engines pair with the same ten-speed transmission, with your choice of RWD or AWD. The Ford SUV comes with the Class III Towing Package, which includes a hitch, trailer sway control, and a wiring harness. These features help it tow up to 5,000 lbs when called upon. Of course, the smaller engine is more efficient, getting 20 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. Test-drive the 2026 Ford Explorer at Bob Moore Ford.

Ford Explorer Safety and Technology

Every new Explorer now comes with a 13.2-inch LCD touchscreen for your infotainment display. It runs the Ford Digital Experience platform, giving you access to Google and Amazon apps, with the ability to browse the internet or stream videos. Of course, it is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The cabin has USB ports in all three rows, ensuring your passengers never have an excuse not to answer your texts. You’ll also get a trio of 12-volt power sockets for good measure. As you’d expect from Ford’s flagship family SUV, the Explorer comes loaded with a range of driver assistance technology, including automated emergency braking, lane keeping, and blind-spot monitoring.
