2024 Ford Maverick Powertrains & Capabilities

The 2024 Ford Maverick will now come standard with a 2.0L EcoBoost I-4 engine that produces 250 hp and 277 lb-ft, instead of the standard hybrid powertrain from 2023. For those interested in the hybrid powertrain, the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a hybrid system will be available as an add-on to Maverick trims, XL, XLT, and Lariat. The hybrid powertrain will produce 191 hp and 155 lb-ft of torque, allowing drivers to save on fuel costs and maintain the ability to tow or pull heavy objects. The hybrid powertrain will have a max towing capacity of 2,000 lbs., while the turbocharged I-4 engine with an optional towing package offers up to 4,000 lbs of towing capacity. The hybrid engine Maverick drivers will get an impressive 37-mpg for fuel economy, while standard Maverick models will still offer drivers a solid 26-mpg.

All Maverick models come as four-door crew cabs with a 4.5-ft. bed that Ford says can fit up to 18 sheets of plywood without loading them at an angle.
